EQUIPMENT/FACILITY ACCESS POLICY AND RATES
FOR COMMUNITY FILM WORKSHOP MEMBERS ONLY
(All rates effective January, 2003)
Access Hours: Monday through Friday 12:00 a.m. -- 6:00 p.m. Morning, nigh and access for post production by appointment.
Forms: All access members are required to have a current equipment facility access application on file. Members must also complete and sign appropriate equipment/facility check-out forms.
Check-in Time: Equipment must be checked in by 1:00 p.m. Equipment checked in late will be billed for an additional day.
Check-out Time: Equipment may be checked out from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Weekend Rate: The weekly rate for equipment rental is four times the daily rate.
Subleasing: CFW member is responsible for maintaining the equipment under his/her exclusive control and shall not sublease the equipment any circumstances.
Payment: Payment is due upon assignment of equipment and use of facilities. There are no open accounts. Bounced checks will be debited the current bank charge.
Insurance: Insurance must be obtained for all equipment. This may be done by presenting a copy of an adequate all-risk insurance certificate or by deposit of 25% of the cash value of the equipment on approved credit card.
Reservations: Access members are encouraged to reserve equipment and facilities as early as possible to ensure availability.
Cancellations: Please notify CFW of cancellations at least 12 hours prior to equipment and facility reservation. Failure to do so will result in suspension of membership privileges.
Proficiency Exam: All access members and crew members using CFW equipment must pass a hands-on proficiency exam. Exams are offered every second Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. -- 12 noon. Call to verify attendance.

Before reserving time on the Avid Express all users must be certified by CFWC. Certification costs
$30 and is by appointment. Users who have successfully completed CFWC Avid Express class are Already certified.
