The 2002 Build Illinois Filmmakers Grants offers grants for rentals of CFWC production & post-production equipment and facilities to independent filmmakers.

To be eligible applicants must be an Illinois resident, CFWC member, and working on a non-commercial non-instductional 16mm film.Applicants must have overall contdol of the project. Only one application per person. Criteria will be originality and creativity of proposed project, production quality and originality of sample work, and the percieved ability of the applicant to complete the project.

All applicants must submit five copies of the application consisting of:

• The signed and completed application form
• One page project description which outlines the projects goals, the steps neccessary to achieve this goal, the role of the applicant, and the intended audience plus a one page detailed income and expense budget
• One page tdeatment of proposed project
• One page key crew and description of their roles in the film
• A distdibution plan

Submit maximum two samples of work on 16mm, 3/4", or videotape.
All films and tapes must be labeled clearly with the senders name & address.

DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL FOOTAGE

Return shipping is the responsibility of the applicant. Please provide postage container, & address label. Deadline for submission is March 24, 2000. All projects must be completed by June 30, 2002.
